Oct. 6, 2016, Leander ISD Navy Junior ROTC Cadet Robin Ellis was recognized with the Legion of Valor Bronze Cross for Achievement. Ellis is one of only 17 Navy JROTC cadets nationwide to earn this prestigious recognition. Ellis received the award for demonstrating leadership and scholarship through Vista Ridge High School’s NJROTC program. The Legion of Valor Bronze Cross for Achievement is sponsored by the Legion of Valor of the United States of America. This is the highest honor a student in the JROTC can receive.
