SkillsUSA is a national organization serving teachers and students preparing for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations, including health occupations.   • Vandegrift High School student Sonesh Patel, recognized for receiving the Presidential Academic Scholar Award, one of only six to recive this award in Texas and one of 161 in the country. Sonesh demonstrated the award's criteria of outstanding academic achievement, artistic excellence, leadership, citizenship and service, and contribution to school and community. As his most influential teacher, Sonesh named VHS' Nina Legg.
