Leander High School senior Cydney Bradford, recognizing Elizabeth Garcia:
“Ms. Garcia was my Spanish II Pre-AP teacher. I immediately was drawn to her spirit and passion for teaching. Even after I was no longer in her class, I made sure I visited her almost every day. I love talking to her about good things, school things and crazy things in my life. When she was going to school to further her education to become a counselor, I got to see first hand how determined she was to get that degree. I was so proud of her - as proud as a student could be for a teacher - when she got the counselor position this year. I was more than excited for her. Ms. Garcia has always looked out for me, and I am proud to not only call her my counselor, but also my friend. Thank you, Ms. Garcia, for everything you do for me and what you will do for me in the future.”
Leander High School senior Isabella Montez, recognizing Amber Hall:
“Mrs. Hall has been the most fun to work with for the past two years. She makes every lesson worth listening to and reaches out and cares about each student. She manages to juggle 13 different things at once and deserves a lot more credit for it. She has helped me realize what I want for myself in the future and has been behind encouraging.”
