Vista Ridge High School senior Lauren Stallings, recognizing Allison Lyles:
“The most influential teacher in my life has been my PALS teacher, Ms. Lyles. Ms. Lyles has been a mentor and friend since junior year. She taught me how to serve others with compassion and an open heart, not just through words, but most importantly through my actions. She is a teacher that is always there for her students and genuinely cares about their well being. She has given me countless opportunities to display leadership throughout my school [career] and has challenged me to see the perspective [of] other students and to see others with an open mind. Ms. Lyles has been there for me through thick and thin and is always someone I could count on, from everyday worries to just practicing speeches, she has shown me what it means to be a true leader and living life with integrity. She is someone that will have a permanent place in my heart and character. I have grown so much just over the past two years, and I want to thank her for everything she has ever done for me.”
