Rouse High School senior Noah Davis, recognizing Jason Robb:
“Mr. Robb has positively impacted my life in more ways than I can count. My music education and performance ability have improved drastically since he first came to Rouse two years ago. But more than that, Mr. Robb has taught me some of the most important lessons I will ever learn in life. He has taught me to work hard, persevere, honor my commitments, pay attention to details, be aware of my surroundings and to constantly pursue excellence. My academic career and personal life would not have been the same without these lessons that I have learned from him. Mr. Robb loves his job, and that can be seen by anyone who walks in the door of our band hall. He is constantly teaching and instructing to improve the band as a whole and each individual within it. I have learned a lot from him in class, but I have learned even more from him during the conversations he will have with me and other students as we sit on couches in his office. To Mr. Robb, I would like to say thank you. Thank you for positively impacting my life and for bringing out the excellence within me and every person who has the privilege of being your student.”
Rouse High School senior Mariah Alejo, recognizing Suzy Pessia:
“I have never met anyone who demonstrates as much passion for people as Mrs. Pessia does. She is bright and silly and never fails to lighten my mood, which I dearly needed as a high school senior. Walking into her class in the early morning was when I realized where exactly I was going in life; she looked at me and said, ‘I love your attitude; you’re going to go far.’ This meant a lot coming from her, as
she is the person who embodies the medical field for me. That day, with those few words of rich positivity, I knew where I was going. I, Mariah Alejo, will go to college, graduate, go to medical school, graduate and finish the years of training to become a general surgeon. Without the faith and support from Mrs. Pessia I would have never truly known who I am and how great I will become.”
