Vandegrift High School senior Barclay Bull, recognizing Holly Lyons: “I have been blessed with many incredible teachers, but the most influential teacher for me has to be Mrs. Holly Lyons, my dance team director. Mrs. Lyons’ commitment to her students is unmatched. The lessons I have learned from her, through her guidance and advice, have made me a better leader, student, dancer and human being. I met her through my older sister’s participation on her team years before. Since then, she has become one of my biggest supporters and influences in my life. She has helped me prepare for the next steps in my life more than any other teacher, just by sharing her experiences and imparting her wisdom. After spending three years under her wing, I am a much more confident and independent student and person, capable and ready to take on the next steps in my life. Mrs. Lyons has made a huge impact on my life and I am beyond grateful for everything she has done for me.”
Vandegrift High School senior Dahyeok Jang, recognizing Jodi Jacobsen: “She effected me to get an experience to compete in FCCLA interior design subject, always helps me to improve, develop my design and gives great advice and references to help me. She understand my own personal design concept and always listens to me. I decided to go study architecture in college because she effected my life.”
