An impressive 75 LISD seventh-graders received state recognition by scoring in the top 35 percent after taking college entrance SAT or ACT exams as part of the 2018–19 Duke Talent Indentification Program.

ICDC winners included a 2nd place finish from Akansha Chawla and Lekha Sripathi in Buying and Merchandising. Mimi Nickerson and Eesha Patel were medal finalists in Innovated Plan. Dylan Mckenzie and Vishal Sagi medaled for top role play in their events.
