  • The Vandegrift High School Band is the 2019 Sudler Shield Award Winner. The Sudler Shield is an International Award recognizing high school and international marching bands of world class excellence and is administered by the John Philip Sousa Foundation.

Vandegrift HS is the third LISD school to receive the Sudler Shield, following Cedar Park High in 2006 and Vista Ridge High in 2018. It’s my pleasure to invite the Vandegrift band directors and student leadership to the risers at this time.
