"My lasting memories are little milestones that occurred in the classroom. I loved hearing, “I get this now,” or “This makes sense,” or when a student would say to a classmate, “Let me show you how.” I loved seeing their smiles when then came into the classroom, but more importantly, when they left with a smile. Some students would even say, “Thank you,” when leaving the class. They told me jokes, and talked about their families, pets, vacations and future goals. All these “little” interactions added up to a fulfilling career, which made coming to school and being a teacher, day after day, a joy."
